Do I need a bookkeeper if I use QuickBooks or Xero?

Software can make bookkeeping easier, but it doesn't replace the need for accurate accounting processes and financial review. Evergreen & Sage can help make sure your books are organized, reconciled, and useful for making business decisions.

How often should a small business have its books updated?

For most businesses, keeping the books current monthly provides a good foundation for monitoring cash flow, profitability, and financial performance. Some businesses may benefit from more frequent bookkeeping.

How do I know if my business needs a bookkeeper?

If bookkeeping is taking time away from running your business, your books are falling behind, you're unsure whether your financial reports are accurate, or you don't have a clear picture of your business's financial performance, professional bookkeeping support may be worthwhile.

What's the difference between bookkeeping and accounting?

Bookkeeping focuses on accurately recording and organizing your business's financial transactions. Accounting takes that information further through financial reporting, analysis, planning, and decision support. Evergreen & Sage can support your business across both areas as your needs grow.

How much does small business bookkeeping cost?

Bookkeeping costs vary based on the size of your business, transaction volume, complexity, and level of support needed. Evergreen & Sage offers flexible service options designed to provide the right level of support without paying for services your business doesn't need.

I see that you listed that your business is woman owned, are you certified?

At this time, I am not officially certified. The process to get certified is a bit extensive. I am in the process of trying to obtain an official certification.
